The road to DrupalCon 2010

I just filled out the contest application to attend DrupalCon 2010 put on by www.drupalmodules.com. While I do hope I win, I'll probably be going regardless. Drupalcon DC was a fantastic experience, however I really do have to change my outlook when it comes to attending conferences like this. I used to think that I would "learn" a great deal by going to the sessions and "working" around others in the industry. This is of course not entirely the case. You do learn, but not about processes, how to use a module, etc.

In the big city

It's official, I have moved to Toronto and started a new job. I now am a Graphic Designer / Drupal themer for Incom Web and E-marketing solutions. Things have been going pretty well so far aside from the crazy amounts of money I am spending, the horrible air mattress that magically got a hole in it, and the complete lack of sleep. But other than that it's going pretty darn good.

Out with the old...

So I have finally updated my portfolio website. It's surprising actually how long an endeavor this has been. Originally I wanted to hire out the task of designing the website to an actual designer. The hope would be that I could start a working relationship with someone who I would then farm out design work to for my actual clients. But after failed attempts on both mine and other peoples parts I decided to just design it myself. I am quite happy with how it turned out, but "constructive" criticism is always welcome.
