Recognizing that infancy is a crucial period in the healthy development of an individual, the Ontario Association for Infant and Child Development exists primarly to Develop, promote and support policies, services, and research in the area of infancy in the Province of Ontario.
Having previously used a static HTML website, Ontario Association for Infant and Child Development wanted an easy to maintain dynamic platform that could handle user membership management, newsletters, job postings, event listings, geographic location search and multilingual support. Drupal was the answer to all these requirements and more.
Leveraging the power of Ubercart a robust automated membership structure was built allowing for users to subscribe to number of membership types, each providing additional roles and features available to the user. By assigning geographic locations to agency profiles allowed us to store, list and search by any number of criteria including proximity search.
OAICD was extremely pleased with the automation of membership services. It has dramatically reduced the time requirements of membership administrators from manually keeping track of user registrations, payments and expiry notices.
