Wii like to podcast is a bi-weekly video podcast and web community dedicated to the Nintendo Wii. There are a number of Wii/Nintendo websites and podcasts popping up as the popularity of the system grows. We consider ourselves to be different from the pack. By providing a podcast that is simple, fun and informative.

Wii like to podcast wanted to maintain a standalone website capable of meeting modern podcast distribution needs while still providing a community oriented atmosphere and social networking features. The website needed to allow for the distribution of large amounts of video content and also handle large amounts of visitors. A special version of the site was also needed to cater to individuals wishing to view the website on the Nintendo Wii consoles.

iTunes compliant RSS feeds were generated by specially created podcast content types. These content types also allowed for streaming flash video. Custom modules were created to allow for users to share Nintendo friend codes for games and notify others they had added each other. Using Drupal's multisite functionality a special theme was developed which was formatted to fit within the limited browser space of the Nintendo Wii browser formatted for television screens.
